Copy Editors for Republic Bharat’s (Hindi) digital arm.
Designation – News Writer (Hindi)
Experience required-2-4 years
Job Location – New Delhi
Department – Editorial
Educational Background – Any Graduate
Role and responsibilities :As a Trainee News Writer at Republic World, you
would have to do the following
Candidates must have 2-4 years of experience in
the Hindi news industry, preferably in the digital
space.
. Candidates must have a strong hold over the Hindi
language and must demonstrate knowledge of
news stories across various beats.
Candidates must have the ability to copy edit,
headline and publish news copies after relevant
fact-checks, legal checks, grammar checks and
SEO compliance in a competitive and timely
manner. Selected candidates will be expected to
meet the daily targets vis-a-vis story assignment
and copy editing.
Selected candidates must not only possess the
ability to identify and assign news stories and their
angles, but also have the skill set to execute it with
factual precision first.
Copy editors will work closely with the News
Writers, as well as other editorial departments.
While SEO awareness is not a pre-requisite for the
role, it will be considered an asset.
