1) possesses good news selection skills
2) has good language and editing skills and the ability to package stories with appropriate pictures and graphics
3) is able to extract the essence of the story from a badly written copy and has good story telling techniques
4) produces error-free, well-structured copies with engaging headlines, strap, intros
5) tracks analytics, search and social trends to understand readers’ interest
6) has sound understanding of digital and print audience. Ideates and plan stories keeping in mind both digital and print audience
7) uses social media to source and track news, generate ideas and reach out to new audiences
8) active contribution to digital platform
